Melissa was born and raised right here in the central valley, primarily Dinuba and Reedley. She received her Bachelors in Liberal Arts from Fresno Pacific University followed by a multiple subject teaching credential. She taught in Kings Canyon Unified, at the elementary level for 13 years. Through a majority of that time she also served in high school ministry at her previous church. The last few years in the school district God began preparing Melissa for a change and using her own health journey to lead her into a new direction. She is now a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, with her own business that she opened up in the summer of 2021. It gives her great joy to help others address their health concerns naturally, guiding them into a healthier diet and lifestyle to truly take care of the one body God give us.

Interacting with kids and getting to be a positive influence in their lives is one thing Melissa loved most of all when she was teaching, she knows the impact that we all can have on children and youth. Now she gets the opportunity to work with children and their families once again as the 2nd - 3rd Coordinator for The Well Kingsburg. Melissa is very passionate about sharing the truth, God’s truth. The opportunity to disciple children so that they come to truly know and have a real relationship with the Lord, really living it out as early as possible is a blessing.

Melissa married her husband Mark in the summer of 2019. They love to go on adventures with their two dogs, exploring God’s creation and seeing new places whenever they get the opportunities. They enjoy going on walks with their dogs and riding their bikes, which are also Melissa’s two favorite ways to get in some exercise. Melissa enjoys good, nutritious food and gets excited anytime they find new places that are truly allergen friendly, serving real whole foods!
