PJ LEWIS | Lead Pastor
PJ was born in Redding, and grew up in Northern California. After graduating high school in 1982, he went to San Diego Christian College (then known as Christian Heritage College). He earned a degree in Counseling Psychology and a degree in Bible. But the biggest accomplishment was meeting his future wife, Sheri. They were married on Leap Year Day, 1988.
While in College, PJ and Sheri entered into the world of Youth Ministry together. After graduation, God led them to Carson City, Nevada, where they eventually landed at Hilltop Community Church and continued to be involved with youth. PJ moved to working more with adults in 2007 (felt a little like a demotion! Ha), as a teaching and counseling pastor.
In 2011, PJ and Sheri made the big move to the Central Valley and, specifically, to the Well Community Church, Fresno, serving as a member of the teaching team, campus pastor, and family pastor. Then, in 2017, they made their new home here at the Well Kingsburg, where PJ accepted the position as lead pastor.
PJ loves being with his wife and hanging out with her. He also loves the outdoors, watching sports, and taking a walk or a hike. You also might find him at the theater watching the latest Marvel Superhero movie.
