Grant was born and raised in Kingsburg. In 1982 he married his high school sweetheart Karen and they spent the next 26 years as student Pastors. They served 14 years in Kingsburg before moving to Indiana where they served 3 years before moving to Huntington Beach where they served 9 years. In 2006 Grant and Karen launched a church plant in Huntington Beach called, “The Experience Church”.

Grant and Karen have 4 children and 9 grandchildren, who all live in Huntington Beach.

In 2012 Grant and Karen moved back to Kingsburg, where Grant leads “The Landing student recovery”. Grant also oversees the “Ambassadors of Compassion” groups on the Kingsburg Jr High and High school campuses, and is the Campus Pastor of Immanuel Schools in Reedley. Grant also does a lot of one on one Life Coach/Counseling for students, parents, and marriages.

Grants passion is to live missional. His favorite scripture is 1 Cor. 9:19-23 and is driven by these two thoughts;

  • As the church, “we exist for those who are not yet a part of us”

  • “if we win them to ourselves, we can win them to our God”

Grant loves surfing the warm waters of Huntington Beach, and is an AVID bass fisherman, and his claim to fame is the 13.5 pound largemouth he landed in the spring of 2018. Grant and Karen love working on their farmhouse style house and traveling to Huntington Beach to visit all the kids and grandkids.
