The word Baptism comes from the Greek word baptizo, which means to dip or immerse. In the Old Testament and Jewish writings, there are four types of Baptism mentioned: purification, initiation, repentance, and identification. Baptism in the New Testament focuses on that last one: identification. Baptism is symbolic of the new life a believer now has in Christ, replacing the old life that died and was buried at conversion. Baptism is a part of making disciples, which we are all about.  Check out this video to find out more.
